Fantastic Youth Unity launches long term Safe Space Initiative for young people in Havering.

Youth Unity is excited to announce the launch of their new static intervention service this summer, in partnership with Havering Council’s Community Safety Team.

This initiative marks the beginning of a long-term commitment, with funding secured for the next two years to continue providing a vibrant and secure environment for young people.

Their safe space offers a welcoming atmosphere where young people can express themselves, participate in support groups, and engage in a variety of activities. The initiative is supported by a team of trained youth workers dedicated to the well-being of all participants, ensuring they feel safe, heard, and empowered.

In addition to their summer program, they are launching the “Inside Romford” podcast, where they invite everyone to get involved and share their thoughts on the future of Romford town centre. The team are also continuing their street filming efforts and encourage everyone to participate. Let your voice be heard and help them create a positive impact in our community.

While the program kicks off this summer, Youth Unity are committed to sustaining their efforts beyond the season, with plans to provide ongoing support, including homework assistance, literacy, and financial education.

Additionally, Youth Unity’s Media Van will be available on South Street, Romford, every Wednesday from 3:30 PM, and in various locations across Havering on Thursdays.
