18 year old hit with broken bottle in Harold Hill as man arrested on suspicion of GBH.

An 18 year old man suffered injuries after being hit with a broken bottle following an altercation at a residential property on Retford Road in Harold Hill. The teenager was taken to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 22:48 on Tuesday, 13 August to reports of an altercation at a residential property in Retford Road, Romford.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found an 18-year-old man nearby suffering from injuries caused by a broken bottle.

He was taken to hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.”
