Kaleidoscope host free LGBTQ+ film night event in Romford.

Kaleidoscope are hosting their second free mystery queer film night and social at Premiere Cinemas on August 27^th. After the success of their first film night, organiser Carrie decided to hold another free film night ahead of the East London LGBTQ+ Film Festival in November. 

The film night and social is designated to be a safe space for anyone who is LGBTQIA+ as there are currently no other queer spaces in Romford. 

‘One question we get a lot is “Are straight people allowed to go?” The answer is yes, allies are welcome in this space so please bring your parents, friends, or favourite cinema goer with you! A queer space means that people will be safe and comfortable in their own expression without fears of staring, abuse or violence. We only ask that you are over 15 due to the film’s rating. 

We will be meeting at 6pm at the Projectionists (Dry) Bar to socialise with other people from the LGBTQIA+ community then heading into the film at 7pm. The bar will be alcohol free to help prevent young LGBTQIA+ people from feeling pressured to socialise in alcohol orientated spaces.’
