Youths arrested after crashing car and running from police.

One youth arrested for assaulting a police officer.

A collision took place yesterday morning on Wood Lane in Dagenham, involving two vehicles.

One of the cars involved contained two youths who left the scene of the accident, with one deciding to assault a police officer.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

Police were called at 10:07 on Tuesday, 30 July to reports of a collision involving two cars in Wood Lane, Dagenham.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended and found two cars had collided.

One car, containing two males, made off from the scene of the collision.

One of the males was detained by members of the public. The second male was detained by officers nearby. 

A woman, from the second car, was taken by LAS to an east London hospital where her injuries were not life threatening.

The males, who are thought to be juveniles, were arrested on suspicion of offences including failing to stop at the scene of an accident and assaulting a police officer.”
