As the sun shone across Harold Hill the local community gathered for the official plaque unveiling of the Hitchen Green Village Status.

Havering’s Leader of the Council-Councillor Ray Morgon joined Cabinet Member for Regeneration Councillor Graham Williamson alongside Harold Hill councillors Paul MGeary, Patricia Brown and Kathy Tumlty.

It is thanks to the hard work of councillors Tumlty and MGeary who have worked hard to secure this space as a village green. Alongside the work of Michelle from the Harold Hill Wombles.

This was a great community event that included lots of refreshments for the local community and a fitting way to enjoy the beautiful green space that has now been preserved.
