Annual Children’s Fishing Match at Aveley Angling Club a Huge Success

On Saturday, 13th July, the Aveley Angling Club held its annual children’s fishing match at their beautiful lake in Upminster.

The event saw over 50 eager young anglers competing for a variety of impressive prizes, including brand new bivvys, rods, and reels.

The atmosphere was lively and family-friendly, with a BBQ providing delicious food, an Ice Cream van, a DJ spinning tunes, and a bouncy castle for the children to enjoy between their fishing attempts.

The combination of activities ensured that there was something for everyone, making it a memorable day out for all attendees.

Peter, the Club Chairman, expressed his delight at the event’s success. “It’s fantastic to see so many young people getting involved in fishing and enjoying themselves. The annual children’s fishing match is one of our favourite events, and it’s wonderful to see the community come together for a day of fun and friendly competition. I would like to thank our sponsors, Fox, Mainline, TCM Tackle, Holgate Insurance, A Pattison, and J&N Waste Ltd. for the support.”

The Aveley Angling Club’s commitment to fostering a love for fishing among the younger generation was evident throughout the day. The event not only provided an opportunity for children to showcase their fishing skills but also helped to create lasting memories and friendships.

As the day came to a close, the young anglers were celebrated for their efforts, with smiles all around as they received their well-deserved prizes.
