Mad Hatters Tea party comes to Park Rise.
‘It’s always tea-time’ for Havering locals at new Park Rise development
Last weekend, locals got out their teapots and top hats for a delightful Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the new Park Rise development, sponsored by Wates Residential and hosted by the Joint Venture Partners, Wates and Havering Council.
Greeted by The Queen’s Guard Playing Card upon arrival, around 40 guests, including new homeowners, prospective buyers, and local council residents, tumbled down the rabbit hole into an afternoon of whimsical fun.
The celebration was held in the residents’ lounge and the gardens of the new development, which comprises a number of one- and two-bedroom apartments for independent living for the over 55s.
Guests of all ages took part in a range of activities, with some also helping to plant colourful flowers in the communal planters. An assortment of cakes, finger sandwiches, tea, and fruit punch ensured no one was left saying, ‘No room! No room!’.
Attendees praised the “great theme” for the event, and noted the “beautifully organised, wonderful decorations and lovely atmosphere.” Departing with miniature teapot keepsakes, guests left enthusiastic for future events, eagerly asking, “When is the next one?”.
