A woman in her 20s is in hospital after being pushed down stairs at Damselfy House on Dunedin Road, Rainham.

Police were called just after 7am yesterday to reports of a woman being pushed down a set of stairs and on their arrival found a woman with serious injuries.

The area was cordoned off a police investigation is now taking place.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:



“Police were called to a block of flats in Dunedin Road, Rainham at about 07:01am on Tuesday, 25 June following reports that a woman had been pushed down some stairs.

Officers attended and on arrival found a woman, aged in her 20s with serious injuries.

She was taken to hospital where she remains. Her injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.

A subsequent investigation has been launched and urgent enquiries are ongoing.

At this early stage no arrests have been made”.
