Man attends hospital with stab injuries after reports of males with knives in Rainham.

Police are investigating the connection between reports of males with knives on Spencer Road and a man presenting himself at the hospital with stab injuries.

Residents had reported seeing males with knives on Spencer Road and New Road, on Sunday morning at 5.15am.

Officers attended the scene but nobody was found.

At 5.30am police were called to attend Queen’s hospital where a male suffering stab injuries had presented himself.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at around 05:15 on Sunday, 23 June, to reports of males with knives in the area of Spencer Road and New Road, Rainham.

Officers attended but nobody was found.

At around 0530hrs, police were called to a male who had attended hospital suffering what are believed to be stab injuries. His condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether this male was involved in the earlier incident.

There has been no arrest at this stage.”
