BREAKING: Man in his 20s shot in Dagenham.
The public can expect to see an increased police presence in the immediate area in the coming hours.
A 22 year old man has been found with a gunshot wound after reports of a drive by shooting on Porters Avenue.
The man was taken to hospital where his injuries have been assessed as non life threatening. London Air Ambulance alongside paramedics were called to the scene just after 1pm today.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“At 13:06 on Wednesday, 5 June officers were called to reports of a shooting in Porters Avenue, Dagenham.
On arrival they found a man, believed to be aged 22, with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
London Ambulance Service paramedics and the London Air Ambulance attended.
The man was taken to hospital where his injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening and non-life changing.
An investigation is under way. At this early stage there have been no arrests.
The public can expect to see an increased police presence in the immediate area in the coming hours.”
