Romford pays their respects to much loved local Rabbi.
Yesterday, Thursday 30 May, saw a special service take place for much loved Romford Rabbi Lee Sunderland. Over 200 people attended the Waltham Abbey Cemetery to pay their respects to Rabbi Lee who had been the Romford Rabbi for 22 years.
Mourners including Andrew Rosindell the Romford MP, Keith Prince the Havering and Redbridge London Assembly Member and Sidra Naeem from the Havering Islamic Cultural Centre.
Rabbi Lee was a man much loved by his community who united everyone regardless of their Faith. He worked closely with all and had an excellent relationship with members of the Romford Islamic Centre. Both regularly visited each others place of worship to celebrate different religious occasions.
Rabbi Lee stood for peace and unity and dedicated his life to bringing this. He cared for all in the area and was always there to support those who needed it.
A Shiva was held at Romford Synagogue where many came to remember their much respected and loved Rabbi.
You will be greatly missed by all Rabbi Lee.
