Police officers bravely remove machete after moped chase in Barking.
On Friday 24 May Thames Police in Barking arrested a violent offender who chose to pull out a machete from his trouser waistband and attack officers.
Officers first pursued the suspect who was on a moped, then arrested him after a period of struggle where the male chose to pull out the machete on officers.
Fortunately the officers were not harmed, but once again this attack highlights the increasing challenges and dangers our officers face each day doing their job.
Well done to these officers, another dangerous suspect and weapon removed from our streets.
The machete removed from our streets.
