We are tired of nobody listening to us.No politician has done anything about knife crime except empty words, they are failing their communities.

A Harold Hill bereaved mother and south London anti knife crime campaigner have launched an anti knife crime alliance in a bid to unite communities and help work towards stopping the battle against knife crime.

Peguy Kato lost her son Champion Ganda 11 years ago. He was stabbed multiple times on the streets of Forest Gate for just playing football. Since then Peguy has campaigned soldly to stop youths carrying knives.

She told the Havering Daily:”I have run many workshops for our youth and their parents. Getting them as much support as I can and getting them to have their voices heard in our communities.

“I have met with politicians including Sadiq Khan and none of them care. They listen, say they will do something to support us and then we never hear from them again. They have completely failed us and their communities. This is why it is time now for us to come together as a London wide community and do what we can as parents, relatives, and friends and work towards ending knife crime.

“London’s communities are tired of watching children die on the street. Tired of watching children carry knives to protect themselves. We have to listen to our youth, stand in their shoes and understand what is going on in their lives.

“It is clear that nobody is willing to support us, so let us start to work together and help out youth.”

Peguy has joined forces with south London anti knife crime campaigner Lucy who is well known throughout London for her work against knife crime. Lucy is a much respected community member who has also dedicated her life to stopping knife crime. She has worked tirelessly with many communities supporting them and helping them following a knife incident.

“Somebody somewhere has to do something as it is very obvious that no politician is willing to do anything. Let us unite as communities and help our youth now, I urge you please join us now,” finished Peguy.
