BREAKING: Police Respond to Stabbing and Gunshot Reports in Dagenham

In a troubling turn of events on Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham, the Metropolitan Police were summoned following distressing reports of a stabbing. Moments later, another call, this time reporting gunfire in the vicinity. Responding swiftly, officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) arrived at the scene, discovering a 19-year-old man with life-threatening stab wounds. As investigations unfold and a suspect remains in custody.

A spokesperson from the MET told the Havering Daily,

Police were called to Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham at about 17:18hrs on Thursday, 2 May following reports that a man has been stabbed.

Shortly after a second call was received by a member of the public reporting gun shots in the area.

Officers and LAS attended and found a man, aged 19, with stab injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains. His condition has been assessed as life-threatening.

His next of kin has been informed.A man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. He was taken into custody where he remains.

A crime scene is in place at the location and enquiries are ongoing.
