Murder investigation launched after another man fatally stabbed in Dagenham.
A murder investigation has been launched after another man was fatally stabbed in Dagenham in the early hours of Saturday 20 April.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service at around 01:30, to a man suffering stab injuries in Rothwell Gardens.
Officers attended and their initial investigations quickly led them to a second man suffering critical stab injuries in nearby Flamstead Road. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 23-year-old man died at the scene.
Officers believe they know the identity of the man. Urgent enquiries are ongoing to inform his family.
The condition of the other man is not life-threatening. He was discharged from hospital and has been arrested in connection with the investigation. The man remains in police custody.
The Met’s investigation is led by detectives from Specialist Crime supported by local policing colleagues.
