Community says goodbye to much loved My Health Matters Champion.
On Thursday 11 April, Havering community bid an emotional farewell to Sharon from My Health Matters. Sharon has been an amazing health champion in the borough for over a decade and has transformed so many people’s lives.
Sharon and Suzannah have run ‘My Health Matters’ across Havering, promoting positive health and well being, and training over 500 hundred Health Champions! Their role and impact across our borough has not only encouraged people to eat better balanced diets, but they have also made huge impacts in people’s lives. The two ladies have directly changed the way people eat and have been instrumental in supporting so many that needed help and guidance.
After a decade of working with the project, Sharon leaves My Health Matters to start a new venture still in the field of nutrition. She will leave big shoes to fill and will be a huge loss for Suzannah and for Havering.
Francesca, a Havering Health Champion trained by Sharon, told the Havering Daily:
“I met Sharon at a well being event last year and since then, she has totally changed my life. I trained as a Health Champion and undertook Sharon’s Level 2 Nutrition course. She has taught me so much that has made such a positive difference in my life. My whole way of eating has changed now for the better thanks to Sharon. Her impact and knowledge has helped so many and put people on the right path. Her knowledge is incredible.
“I know she will be greatly missed as the amount of work her and Suzannah do across Havering is endless and extremely invaluable. Thank you Sharon for being an amazing mentor!”
Saying farewell to a much loved lady!
