Youth arrested after knife point robbery in Romford given six months on tag.

A Rainham youth who was arrested in January after a knife point robbery in Romford was yesterday given 12 months with the Youth Offending Team, six months on tag and ordered to pay £100 compensation to his two victims.

The incident happened on Saturday 13 January when the teenager from Rainham who is 16 years old, robbed two boys in Romford of their phone, alongside another teenager from South London.

The mother of one of the two local boys robbed, appealed for witnesses to come forward in the Havering Daily, after the knife point robbery and the youths were subsequently arrested.

She said: “Many people have lost Faith in the system and I can completely understand why.

I am pleased with this result as at least it’s not the usual slap on the wrist. He had many previous offences and just narrowly missed out on a custodial sentence.”
