BREAKING:South Hornchurch school and nearby properties being evacuated.

Pupils from Newtons School in Rainham are currently being evacuated to the Mardyke Community Centre and nearby flats are also being evacuated.

The buildings on Lower Road Rainham and Orchard Village are currently all being evacuated due what is believed to be a suspicious package.

We are awaiting further information from the police.

Road closures are in place.
