Romford Safer Neighbourhood officers arrest male wanted on a warrant and shoplifting in the town centre.

Pro active work by Romford Safer Neighbourhood officers saw them arrest a male wanted on a warrant, who had also been out shoplifting in the town centre.

Officers on patrol yesterday, Sunday 3 March noticed a male who swiftly changed direction when he noticed their arrival. He was stopped and and when his details were checked, officers were quick to arrest the male who was wanted on a warrant and had also been out actively shoplifting in the Romford area.

The man will appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court this morning.

The stolen items were returned to the shop, where staff were very pleased for their prompt return by officers.
