‘Why was Havering not included in the superloop bus link? Were we forgotten or just not good enough?’-Rainham resident’s anger at poor public transport.

Rainham resident Kelly is fed up of the poor public transport system across Havering compared to the rest of London. She has been campaigning for months and has been ignored repeatedly.

She recently complained to City Hall and received a response from TfL, that did not even have her correct name.

She told the Havering Daily:

“Ever since the ULEZ expansion was announced, I have campaigned for better public transport as promised by the Mayor of London. Havering has considerably poor public transport compared to the rest of London especially in the south of Havering (Rainham).

When the superloop bus link was announced it was very obvious Havering was not included. Were we forgotten or not deemed good enough? Ever since the launch I have asked TFL several times for an answer over several platforms with either no response or generic replies.

I made an official complaint to City Hall about the way I had been treated and again why Havering was not included.”

Kelly also made a list of the reasons why she believed Havering was not included. She added:

“My complaint also stated the reasons why I think we weren’t included which are, Havering is not good enough for London unless they want our money and Havering doesn’t have a decent bus route in the first place that could be rebranded which is what the rest of the superloop really is.

The answer from TfL was so generic and lacks of any emotion or information. There was no reassurance that my reasoning was not correct. They didn’t even use my name correctly in the response.

Even the subject line is standard. I made an official complaint to City Hall not a general enquiry to TFL

Money is not being spent in our area even though services have been promised and we contribute to the GLA through our council tax. I cant help but feel that City hold outer London boroughs in contempt especially Havering.”

Please see below for TfL’s response, that starts with the wrong name.
