Dagenham Heathway now has its very own dedicated policing team. The team was launched yesterday, Wednesday 31 January outside of Dagenham Heathway station and alongside Barking and Dagenham Council Leader Councillor Darren Rodwell, Councillor Syed Ghani and Neighbourhoods Superintendent David Rhodes.

The new policing team has been set up to tackle any issues along the Heathway, especially those of anti social behaviour.

Supt David Rhodes told the Havering Daily: “This is part of the Met’s commitment is to build the strongest ever neighbourhood policing for London.

“We aim to prioritise the needs of the communities we serve in everything we do.

“That is why we are listening to them and working with others to deliver better policing.”

It was good to see these very professional and smart officers out on the Heathway yesterday supporting local shopkeepers and members of the public
