Body found in Harold Wood Park now identified.
Havering Police have released further information following the tragic discovery of a body at Pains Brook Park in Harold Wood.
Detective Sergeant Chris Whiston, of Havering CID, said: “We have made a number of enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death which continue.
“The deceased male has now been identified and enquiries are being made to locate his next of kin.”
“I would like to thank local people for their patience while the scene was in place and our officers went about their inquiries.”
Background:
Police were called at about 20:05hrs on Sunday, 28 January to reports that a body had been found in the Paines Brook Recreation Ground in Harold Wood.
Officers attended.
While the death is still under investigation, following a post-mortem examination police have no evidence of any third party involvement at this time.
Enquiries to notify next of kin continue.
A file will be prepared for the Coroner.
