EXCLUSIVE:Youths fight in Hornchurch cafe threatening to use a knife and a bottle of acid.
‘Why are these teengers behaving like this?-Resident hits out at shocking behaviour by gangs.
A fight between two gangs at a cafe on Ardleigh Green Road in Hornchurch last week, has left a local resident furious.
“People were in the cafe and had to watch this appalling behaviour. It is dreadful. They threatened each other with a bottle of acid and stated that they had knives. Why are these teenagers so poorly behaved? Have they no respect for our community or for each other?”.
The resident who did not wish to be named, is fed up with the way teenagers behave out on the streets and hit out following the incident last week that saw two groups of youths fight.
“Communities are tired of being held to ransom by gangs fighting each other on the street. We need to stop this type of behaviour, nobody wants this. Parents were out with their children, pensioners were out shopping and had to witness this fight.
“It is time our communities come together and hit out at shocking behaviour like this. It is not wanted here.”
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“We were called at 1.08pm on Monday, 22 January to reports of a fight involving two groups of people at a cafe in Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch.
Officers responded and it was reported that one of the groups had thrown a liquid. Nobody required hospital treatment. There have been no arrests.”
