Kaleidoscope’s escape room returns.

In February, Kaleidoscope’s escape room is returning to Romford. This immersive room takes you to Anne Bonny’s shipwreck, where you have 45 minutes to solve the puzzles and escape. Through the thematic journey you will learn important facts about the life of Anne Bonny and her crew.

Tickets are only £10 plus booking fees and the room can host up to up to 4 people. Single players are also welcome to play the game.

The escape room was designed by the local young LGBTQIA+ community, they were given complete freedom to decide on a theme, and they landed on pirates due to its hidden history of Queer love.

Built almost entirely from upcycled materials, artist Hannah Davis has built a shipwreck, rocks, and accessories from disused cardboard. Kaleidoscope aims to be thrifty and sustainable and took on the challenge to create an escape room on a low budget. Only a small portion of the items were bought brand new, the rest were previously owned items, donations and old cardboard boxes.

Money raised from the escape room will go towards further supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through Kaleidoscope. Running the first Tuesday of every month, Kaleidoscope aims to improve the wellbeing of the young LGBTQIA+ community through artistic workshops.

The room opens up again on Friday 19th January and more dates are available through February. For more information, visit https://www.kaleidoscoperomford.com/
