‘Please don’t suffer in silence, please reach out’-Dad to undertake 15,000 parachute jump to raise money for Mind in memory of his daughter.
‘My room is full of pictures of her- I can’t believe she has gone’.
A Havering refuse collector is set to jump 15,000 feet in September, in a bid to raise as much money as he can for Mind. Brian and his two daughters are undertaking the high parachute jump in a bid to help the charity support others who have lost a loved one.
In 2019 Brian lost his daughter Claire, he told the Havering Daily: “I knew she suffered with depression and struggled a bit at times, but on a whole she was a happy person. We had spent the week together along with her daughter and I thought everything was ok.
“I had no clue whatsoever until I received a phone call telling me that Claire had gone. I didn’t understand and I still don’t understand why. She was on the whole so full of life. She was an incredible daughter and I miss her so much. My room is full of pictures of her.”
Brian and his two daughters are doing the jump in September in Wales, where they are hoping to raise as much money as they can for Mind.
“I want to help others that are suffering so no one else has to go through the pain we are going through. My daughter was just 25 years old when her life ended, it has really left myself and my two daughters broken.”
Brian’s daughter Sam told the Havering Daily:”Claire was my sister but also my best friend, in fact she really was the only friend I had. She was so caring and such a beautiful soul who always had the time for everyone.
“I will forever cherish the memories that we made and she will always be with us.
“We as a family never want another family to experience this and are raising awareness and as much funds as we can to support all those who are suffering. Please don’t suffer in silence. Please reach out.”
Please help this family help others by raising awareness.
