Community Appeal: Hornchurch charity who provide meals for the elderly urgently looking for volunteer drivers.
Tapestry help feed many elderly, vulnerable and lonely members in our community who may not see anyone at all.
Tapestry in Hornchurch provide a vital lifeline for many elderly residents across Havering. The charity run two community hubs in the borough. One in HOPWA House in Hornchurch and the other at Paines Brook in Harold Hill. These hubs have fully trained staff and innovative activity programmes to look after the elderly and those with dementia.
They provide a transport service for many and three course meals for those in need.
Tapestry is a vital organisation for many across Havering and now they need our help!
The charity are looking for volunteer food delivery drivers to get hot meals to lonely and vulnerable people this winter. There are many residents who desperately rely on this service and without their help would have no food and no visitors at all.
Can you spare two hours a week to make a huge difference to an elderly person’s life?
If you can-please call 01708 796600 or email hello@tapestry.uk.org.
