VIDEO: ST Albans Ward Councillor hits out at Havering Council over Bridge Close redevelopment plans.
Councillor Judith Holt has hit out at Havering Council following their Bridge Close redevelopment plans that make no mention whatsoever of Havering Islamic Cultural Centre.
The area is all due to be redeveloped and the council’s plans make no mention of the place of worship, but have instead listed a community centre in its place.
Councillor Holt told the Havering Daily:”Why is there no mention of the mosque? It has become an integral part of the community of Romford since its opening in 2007. It appears to now be moved from its present site and reduced to a community centre with no reference to it being a place of worship.”
