Officers locate suspect vehicle following the smash of a much loved pie and mash shop.
Mayesbrook Safer Neighbourhood Team officers swiftly located a vehicle believed to be involved in the damage of the Brooks Pie and Mash shop on Dagenham Road on New Year’s Day.
Local residents living near the shop were shocked to see a vehicle reversing into the front of the shop repeatedly in broad daylight.
The local pie and mash shop is much loved by its community and this terrible act has left the community shocked.
The suspect vehicle was quickly located by officers who cordoned off the area whilst they awaited for assistance from Met Police dogs.
The vehicle has now been forensically recovered as part of the ongoing situation.
