Proactive work by East Area Violence Suppression Unit sees teenager arrested after being found with a knife and drugs.

A 16 year old boy was arrested on Sunday night after being found with a knife and an amount of drugs in Marks Gate.

The teenager was stopped and searched by the East Area Violence Suppression Unit and found in possession of the knife and drugs.

He was subsequently charged and bailed to appear in court.

Once again stop and search and the proactive work by our police officers has removed another dangerous weapon off our streets.
