Romford Councillor volunteers at Great Ormond Street Hospital Christmas party.
St Edwards Ward Councillor Nisha Patel has helped raise over £3,000 for children’s charities and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Councillor Patel is the president of Friern Barnet Centennial Lions Club and alongside club members, they have raised the money for the children’s hospital and for Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Councillor Patel also volunteered at the London hospital to help with their annual Christmas party. She told the Havering Daily:”We asked the hospital what they would like us to donate and they asked for snacks and drinks for the children’s party.
“I was there on the 19 and 20 and helped set up the party. It really was a very heartwarming experience. Just to see the smile on the children’s faces, made my Christmas. It was a beautiful two days and these children and their staff are all amazing.”
