Romford men imprisoned after series of ram raids across Havering.
Following extensive work by the Met’s Flying Squad, four men from Romford have been jailed after committing a series of ram raids across Havering.
Officers launched an investigation into a linked series of commercial burglaries (ram raids) and associated offences in the borough.
The offences were committed between October and November 2022 in Gallows Corner, Bryant Avenue, Collier Row Lane, Dagnam Park Drive and Southend Arterial Road, Romford.
Four men have now been jailed after pleading guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Monday, 18 September. They were sentenced at the same court on Monday, 4 December as follows:
Michael Smith, 40 years old from Havering Road, Romford was sentenced to seven years imprisonment for conspiracy to commit a non-dwelling burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and driving whilst disqualified and two offences of dangerous driving.
Dean Nuet, 37 years old from Neave Crescent, Romford was sentenced to four years six months’ imprisonment for conspiracy to commit a non-dwelling burglary.
Gregory Samuel, 46 years old from Faringdon Avenue, Harold Hill was sentenced to 20 months’ imprisonment for a non-dwelling burglary and for possession of a bladed article.
