Swift work by Havering police sees teenager arrested for carrying a knife.

Stop and search removes another dangerous weapon off our streets.

A 16 year old boy was arrested last Thursday 19 October for being in possession of a knife.

Members of the public had reported seeing three teenagers acting suspiciously on Craigdale Road in Hornchurch and contacted the police just before 3pm.

Police attended the scene swiftly and began their search of the three suspects. They were soon identified and following the intelligence led stop and search, one of the youths was found in possession of a knife.

He was arrested for possession of a bladed article and taken into custody.
