Romford road closures in place after man struck by car.

Parts of South Street are closed this morning after a man was involved in a collision with a car. The man in his 20s has been taken to hospital.

The incident happened just after 5am.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Officers were called at about 05:10 on Thursday, 12 October to South Street, Romford.

A collision was reported between a car and a pedestrian and a car.

LAS attended and the pedestrian, a man believed to be in his early 20s, was taken to hospital.

His condition awaits.

His next of kin have been informed”

Local road closures are in place while emergency services deal with the incident.
