Car crashes into garden wall in Hornchurch.

A car has crashed in Hornchurch smashing two garden walls. The incident happened on Burnway just after 2pm when residents heard the huge smash and rushed out to see a car smashed into the front walls of the properties.

The car is believed to have carried students coming from the nearby college and driving at speed when it smashed.

The driver was taken to hospital after receiving injuries believed to be a broken nose, whilst another is believed to have run out of the vehicle before the police arrived.

All three members of the emergency services attended the incident.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 14:06 on Monday, 2 October to reports of an overturned car in Burnway, Hornchurch.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital. His injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

There were no arrests.”
