EXCLUSIVE:The Ricky Hayden Memorial announce the release date of the documentary ‘Killer at the Crime Scene.’
In 2016, Ricky Hayden lost his life to knife crime. Ricky was 27 years old when he was macheted in the leg outside his home on Marks Gate.
A documentary has been made entitled ‘A Killer at the Crime Scene’, focusing on Ricky’s case. The information from the documentary has been taken from statements, police documentation, DNA and forensic analysis and includes interviews with Ricky’s mother, Sue Hedges.
The investigation saw the most amount of calls go through Crimestoppers that Murder Squad detectives have ever received.
Since his murder, Sue and Ricky’s sister April, have both dedicated their life to the anti knife crime battle. Not only do they campaign tirelessly to stop youths from going out with knives, but they also donate life saving Daniel Baird bleed bags to as many venues as possible in a bid to save lives.
The documentary will be aired on the 9 October at 9pm on 5 Star. Then it will be available on My 5. It will also be aired on Channel 5 at a later date.
