Former Havering Mayor opens Rise Park School Fete.
Former Havering Mayor Councillor Dilip Patel officially opened the Rise Park School Fete on Saturday 16 September.
The fete that was delayed from the summer due to the poor weather conditions earlier in the year, was hosted by Mark Dover from TIME FM and supported by hundreds of parents and children who attended.
The fete was organised by the Rise Park School PTFA and is a key fund raising event of the year for the group. The PTFA have raised tens of thousands of pounds for new equipment and special projects to enhance pupils learning.
Councillor Patel was joined by Mawney Ward Councillor Jason Frost.
Councillor Patel told the Havering Daily: “I was very pleased to once again officially open the Rise Park School Summer Fete. The PTFA do a fantastic job raising money to help pupils and projects at the school.
“It was great to see so many parents and children coming out to enjoy themselves and help raise funds for the school.”
