As the summer heat returns, the fires at Launders Lane in Rainham have become a daily occurence once again.

Yesterday evening, five fire engines, a fire command unit, a telescopic lift and two police vehicles were seen on Launders Lane, as firefighters were once again called to put out the fires.

Locals living in the area are hugely impacted by the ongoing fires. Not only are they not able to keep their windows open on a hot day, but they also suffer with breathing issues due to the heavy smoke and fumes, and numerous other medical problems such as itchy and watering eyes.

This problem has been going on for ten years and residents living in the area are fed up with the poor quality of life they have due to the ongoing fires everyday.
