‘A New Met For London’ event comes to Barking and Dagenham.
Every borough across London is hosting the New Met for London event and next week sees it come to Barking and Dagenham.
This event held at Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club on Wednesday 23 August starting at 6:30pm, will give all local residents the opportunity to meet their Senior Police Leaders and local policing team and have open discussions about any concerns and issues they may have.
The event is being led by Barking and Dagenham Neighbourhoods Superintendent David Rhodes, who will also be joined by his local policing teams and Assistant Commissioner Louisa Rolfe.
Superintendent Rhodes told the Havering Daily: “This is a very interactive event where local residents will have the chance to chat openly with police officers about policing concerns they may have.
“The event is organised in a manner that allows people to chat with officers and then ask questions to senior police leaders. Our aim to not only to engage with our community, but to hear from them about the changes they want to see.”

All ages will be represented at the event, local partners have been invited alongside youths from the local youth club Vibe.
“This is a very positive event where we really want to listen to people and work hand in hand with our community,” added Mr Rhodes.
East Area police have a good relationship with their local communities across the three East London Boroughs.
