On local issues Edward has:

- Actively campaigned against the proposed Upminster quarry
- Been part of the successful Conservative campaign to save Upminster Toilets and supported the opposition to the Gaynes
School Street scheme proposed by the Council. - If elected, Edward’s priorities for Upminster are:
• Stop ULEZ Expansion - Save Hornchurch Police Station
- Fix potholes quickly and properly
- Support Upminster High Street
- Protect our green and open spaces
- Provide value for money.
Speaking on this issue, he said: “I will put our community first. I will work within the Conservative group but am also happy to cooperate with the Residents Association Political Party / Labour coalition council to benefit Upminster.
