Chelsea Pensioners visit Havering to celebrate 125th anniversary of Romford Bowls Club.

On Wednesday 12 July the Chelsea Pensioners arrived in Romford to mark a very special occasion. It is the 125th anniversary of Romford Bowls Club and to celebrate this special day the Pensioners arrived to play a friendly bowls match.

The club based in Raphaels Park, are the third oldest club in Essex and were proud to celebrate their day with the very famous Chelsea Pensioners.

The Pensioners were greeted at the Carlton Road car park entrance by members, and then marched to the clubhouse where special festivities had been laid on to mark this very important day.

St Edwards Ward Councillor David Taylor was also at the event and happy to be part of the anniversary celebrations.
