Quick thinking action by school friend sees man arrested for phone theft.

A man was arrested and charged after a phone was snatched from a school boy on his way home.

The incident happened yesterday 4 July, in Romford and thanks to the swift action by Romford Town Centre Team, the male was apprenhended.

The schoolboy’s friend dialled 999 immediately after his friend had his phone snatched and officers arrived at the scene straight away and carried out a search. The suspect was found, arrested and now charged.

Well done to the quick thinking friend who dialled 999 and our Romford Town Centre officers who arrived promptly and located the suspect.
