Saturday (24 June) saw the annual Armed Forces Day parade march through the streets of Romford. The parade began at 10.30am on South Street where members of our Armed Forces joined by their cadets and our political representatives, made their way through the market place and finished at the Town Hall.

Havering Mayor Councillor Stephanie Nunn addressed the parade and community, praising the work our Armed Forces have done and continue to do each day.

On a hot morning, many members of our community gathered to watch the parade supported as always by the amazing Royal British Legion Band and Corps of Drums Romford who led the parade.

Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas and Romford MP Andrew Rosindell attended, alongside Havering Conservative Leader Councillor Keith Prince.

Former Mayor and Beam Park Councillor Trevor McKeever was also present.
