Beam Park’s Labour Councillors were joined by the Labour Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Margaret Mullane, at an event to welcome residents to the New Green development in Beam Park ward.
Councillors Matt Stanton and Trevor Mckeever were pleased to see so many residents out in the play area between the blocks, looking at the information stalls set up by Youth Services, and raising issues and concerns with Havering Housing officers who were also in attendance.
“As a local resident it’s been interesting to see the old flats come down and these new buildings be built,’” Councillor Stanton told the Havering Daily. “As Labour councillors we are happy to see the provision of additional housing. These residents, some of whom have returned to the area and some of whom are new neighbours, already know that they can come to us for assistance with any issues and we look forward to getting to know them all.”
Margaret Mullane was also delighted to see the new regeneration project completed and told the Havering Daily: “For too long Havering was ignoring it’s own Housing crisis, now with Labour Councillors like Trevor and Matt fighting for residents we hope to see lots more new homes alongside the Beam Park Station we are leading the fight for.”
