Well done to Havering Deputy Mayor for adding her support to the Cats protection Society.
Gooshays Ward Councillor Pat Brown attended her first event as Deputy Mayor last weekend, joining residents at the Harold Hill Community Centre to support the Cats Protection Society.
The Summer Charity Fayre was a great success for one of Havering’s most popular charities. As well as raising funds, it was a great opportunity for local small businesses and enterprises to showcase their wares.
Pat was delighted to represent Havering Council at the event and told the Havering Daily: “People often say that Britain is a nation of animal lovers, but personal circumstances sometimes change and charities, such as the Cats’ Protection Society, are there to provide support for owners and their pets”.
Fellow Harold Hill Councillors Mandy Anderson and Kathy Tumilty were pleased to attend and support the event, stating: “It was fantastic to see so many people giving their time and money to make sure that this super charity can keep going.” said Councillor Anderson.
Councillor Tumilty added: “The Cats Protection Society accept donations of money like every charity, but you can also donate cat litter, food and appropriate cat toys, for example.”
