Bereaved mother’s mission to donate as many bleed kits as she can across our communities in a bid to save lives.
Another day, another bleed kit donated. Sue Hedges from Havering is a mum on a mission to donate as many Daniel Baird bleed kits as she possible can to save lives.
In 2016 Sue lost her son Ricky Hayden to knife crime and since then has really dedicated her life to campaigning against knife crime and donating Daniel Baird bleed kits across our community.
Last week, Sue donated a bleed bag to The Players Lounge in Billericay on behalf of the Ricky Hayden Memorial. Owner of the venue Kieran was pleased to accept the Daniel Baird bleed bag.
Sue told the Havering Daily:
“Thank you to Kieran from The Player’s Lounge in Billericay for accepting the bleed bag from the Ricky Hayden Memorial. As we all know these bleed bags are vital life saving tools across our community and sadly very much needed.”
It is indeed thanks to one of Sue’s bleed bags that a Havering student is still alive after being stabbed on the way to college.
Well done to Sue for endless dedication to our community despite so many challenges she faces.
