Dagenham man jailed after sexually harassing girl aged 13 on her way home from school.

A Dagenham man has been jailed after he sexually harassed a girl aged 13 years old as she made her way home from school.

Roger Iriri aged 55 years old, has been sentenced to 26 weeks after he pleaded guilty to three counts of causing intentional harassment, alarm or distress at Barkingside Magistrate’s Court.

The teenager was at Barking station in July of 2022 just after 3pm when the incident happened.

Iriri got close to the girl and began asking her what school she attended and despite members of the public intervening, he proceeded to shout sexual remarks at her.

He was arrested at Barking station by British Transport Police Officers.
