LATEST: Flying Squad Detectives investigate Elm Park smash and grab.
Flying Squad detectives are investigating an attempted smash and grab that took place on Station Parade at the Elm Park Coop this morning.
The incident happened at 3:30am when a van smashed into the front of the store causing damage to the shop front.
Nothing was taken from the store.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:”Police are investigating reports of a vehicle enabled burglary at a shop in Station Parade, Elm Park.
Police were called around 03.30hrs on Friday 2 June and made aware of the incident.
Flying Squad is investigating and initial CCTV enquiries have taken place.
Detectives will be continuing the investigation at pace.
At this time no arrests have been made.”
