Bereaved mum and anti knife crime campaigner Sue Hedges yesterday, Wednesday 24 May donated Daniel Baird life saving bleed kits to two pubs.

Sue lost her son Ricky in 2016 to knife crime and now, not only dedicates her time campaigning against knife crime, but also donating these vital life saving tools to as many organisations and venues as she possibly can.

Yesterday saw Sue donate one bleed kit to the Wheatsheaf pub in Romford and the other the Railway Hotel pub in West Hordon.

Sue told the Havering Daily: “Thank you to Russell and Diane at the Wheatsheaf pub in Romford for accepting a bleed bag and to Terry and Sue from the Railway Hotel in West Horndon for accepting another.

“As we know these are such vital life saving tools in our community that can save lives. Unfortunately knife crime is not going away but sadly getting worse.

“We must all work together as a community to help fight it.”
