VIDEO: Councillor Holt tackles anti social behaviour at the Durham Arms on Brentwood Road.
Following a weekend of anti social behaviour that included a fire at the site of the disused Durham Arms, St Albans Ward Councillor Judith Holt has stepped in to call for immediate action from the council to stop this area being used as a dumping ground and to restore it to a community area.
Councillor Holt told the Havering Daily: “I’d like to reassure the local community that I am working hard to resolve this matter as quickly as possible with Havering Council. It is a terrible shame to see the area being left like this and I am urging the council to restore it as an area that can be used by the whole community.”
Councillor Holt has been working to help resolve this ongoing issue for a long period now and is desperate to help redevelop the area into a place that the community can use rather than the dumping ground is has become.
It is frequently broken into and a fire was started there last weekend.
