Havering’s Anti ULEZ Protests Continue As Angry Residents Hit Out At ‘Money Making Scheme.’
Residents from across Havering gathered outside of the Town Hall yesterday in another anti ULEZ protest. These protests have been ongoing not only across London, but also across Havering where angry residents clearly voiced their objections to what they are calling a ‘money making scheme’. The scheme is due to begin at the end of August across all outer London boroughs and has received heavy criticisms from local councils and its residents who do not believe ULEZ is justified across outer London boroughs.
Labour MP’s have also added their serious concerns over this proposed scheme due to the impact it will have on those that are already struggling in the current cost of living crisis.
Many are facing life changing decisions, alongside small businesses that are potentially looking at closure if this scheme is implemented.
Yesterday, Tuesday 18 April, members of the Havering Against ULEZ action group gathered outside of the Town Hall in Romford to shout their objections and make their voices heard to local councillors.
The demonstration was organised by Michelle who leads the action group and has been demonstrating for months since this scheme was confirmed.

Sadist Khan knows from his own independent report that the ULEZ expansion will make very little difference to air quality in Outer London, he also knows that it will be financially devastating to hundreds of thousands of Londoners, and hundreds of thousands more who live outside London, but he doesn’t care because of the money it will bring in, both from charges and penalties, and this is just the start, because the next phase is road charging, pay per mile for everyone. One unknown cost that no one seems to be counting is how many lives are being shortened by the Mayor’s action, there are so many people at their wits end, that the stress and anxiety must be taking its toll on people’s health; however someone who dies of a heart attack from the stress this has put them under, will just be recorded as that, and not more accurately as death by Khan or death by Mayor. I’ve heard one person on the radio say they are considering ending their life over this as they see no point in going on,I have no doubt there will be others who feel the same. Any potential improvements in air quality small as they are likely to be must be measured against the financial, mental and physical toll it is having on so many hundreds of thousands of people. If Khan truly cared about air quality he would deal with the toxic air on the London underground, oh but sorry he can’t tax that can he. Khan must be resisted he is an out of control egotistical monster, London has less of a problem with toxic air than it has with its toxic mayor.
These people are crazy. And is that Mr Corbyns conspiracy theory loving brother? Says it all.
These people are crazy. I notice Mr Conspiracy Theory Corbyns brother was there too.
